When you think it will get better, oh no, here we go again. The rollercoaster ride start up again, the stock market either rise or fall. I am so tried of the rollercoaster ride with stock market. When will the rollercoaster ride stop? That a question, so many America are asking, when will this stop? It's like sitting on the edge of the seat ready for the next hat to drop. Do you know what I mean? I'll be honest, I'm not ready for another hat to drop. I'm ready for this to stop. I'm pulling a "poll" of how many of you are ready for this to stop? With the stock market!

Actually, there is a lot of opportunity in this market!
If you're not selling or retiring right now, it doesn't matter. It will come back! Just don't watch!
When the stocks first fell with that initial hard fall after the bail out was announced, I refused to look at my stocks. I was too afraid to look and no moatter what I won't be cashing out. When you cash out during a recession, that is when you LOSE. I just looked today. My stock value is completely in half. Ug. But I know it will go back up, it is just a matter of waiting.
The rollercoaster ride will never stop, although if history bears out, it will rebound past 14,000 (as it has always done following every bear market). However, this could (and probably will) take awhile.
I know many are considering taking their money out now. Unless you absolutely need it in the near future, I think this is a terrible move. I remember those that did this during the dot com bust, only to put money back in AFTER the market skyrocketed-they "sold low and bought high", when the exact opposite is what should be done.
Susan - I agree with you! It is kind of hard not to watch what happening with the stock market.
Rebecca - I do know what you mean by not looking at the stock. I force myself to look at it. But like what being told it will go back up.
Robert - I wonder if it will ever stop but you could be right. We are keeping our money in the stock. We do know it will go back up, it just we're hope-ing it will be sooner.
CHeryl, The rockier this ride is and emotianally and financial you can hang in there, then you will be able to look back in a few years and say WOW do you remember those days....Anyway right now it is a paper loss unless you are withdrawing your funds 401ks take a hit but it will come back as always. Just keep watching this will actually help real estate. People will be afraid to keep money in the Stock Market and will feel safer in Real Estate.
Endre - Yes it is a rocky ride! We're not touching our stock and my husband is still keeping his 401K. We are not going to cash out. We thought we will ride it out. Boy it's been a rollercoaster ride. We still have money in our saving as a back up for whatever could happen. I agree real estate is safer!
Donald Trump says he has never believed in the stock market, has always invested his money in real estate. I'm thinking more and more people will follow his lead in the future. Especially after this mess we've been experiencing.
Hello Carol - I do know what you mean by what Donald Trump said about investing in real estate.
